Super Bowl 48 Betting Picks- Denver Broncos vs Seattle Seahawks

For the first time since 1990, the NFL’s best offense and defense clash for the ultimate prize as the Denver Broncos take on the Seattle Seahawks, this Sunday February 2nd at Metlife Stadium at 6:25 PM ET, in Super Bowl XLVIII.

superbowl-48-stadiumThe NFL odds have the Broncos as 2 point favorites, and the game total is at 48 points.

Peyton Manning wants his second ring and on his way are the Seahawks.  Manning posted 55 TDs and broke all the regular season record for a quarterback in a year, but that will mean nothing if he can’t get the Lombardi Trophy.

“I’ve been being asked about my legacy since I was about 25 years old. I’m not sure you can have a legacy when you’re 25 years old. Even 37,” said Manning. “I’d like to have to be, like, 70 to have a legacy. I’m not even 100 percent sure what the word even means.

The Broncos averaged 37.9 points per game this season, but they haven’t faced such a dominant athletic defense all season.  Seattle allows 14.4 points per game, but also forced 39 takeaways in the season; best in the NFL.

The Seahawks biggest challenge will be getting to Peyton Manning as he was only sacked 18 times in the regular season and none in the postseason.

Denver’s defense, on the other hand, has improved a lot, but will have to face Marshawn Lynch and the 4th best rushing offense in the league.  In addition, they will have to deal with Russell Wilson, a young stud who can throw and run the ball and is one win away from becoming the quarterback with more wins in NFL history after two seasons.

The Broncos were shut down by Colts, Chargers and Patriots in the regular season; three decent but below average defensive units.  Seattle is a terrible matchup for Denver and the Seahawks should win on Sunday.

Best Bet: Seahawks +2.
