Updated Super 56 Futures Heading Into Week 7 of NFL Season

  • BetOnline favors Tampa Bay (+525) to win Super Bowl 56 after the Bills (+525) were tripped up by the Titans (+2500) on Monday Night Football
  • The Ravens (+1000), Cowboys (+1000) and Packers (+1100) have all won five-straight games after opening their respective seasons with a loss
  • Arizona (+1000) has a perfect 6-0 record after crushing the Browns in Week 6

Every week, the list of NFL teams that could plausibly win the Super Bowl odds shortens as certain clubs separate themselves while others stumble. For instance, the Browns and the Chargers were looking like sexy picks to hoist the Lombardi Trophy only a few weeks back. But it will be difficult to erase the butt-kickings they took from Arizona and Baltimore in Week 6 from our collective memories anytime soon.

So, let’s look at the latest title odds and lay out the eight true contenders for Super Bowl 56. But first, here’s where you can get tips and advice on betting on NFL football games.

Tampa up top after Buffalo loss

Tampa Bay (+525) might not relinquish their ‘Super Bowl favorite’ status anytime soon. After a couple of easy wins over the Dolphins and Eagles, Tom Brady and the Buccaneers (+525) get 3-3 Chicago and 3-2 New Orleans over the next two weeks before exceedingly winnable clashes with Washington, the Giants, Colts, and Falcons.

The Bills (+550) fell to 4-2 on Monday night after MVP contender Josh Allen slipped on the goalline and was stuffed for the would-be winning touchdown in a 34-31 road loss to Tennessee (+2500). Buffalo should have no trouble getting back on track after their Week 7 bye with powder-puff matchups on tap with the Dolphins, Jaguars and Jets. Given their soft schedules, Tampa Bay and Buffalo may not lose again until facing off in Week 14.

Chiefs and Rams up next

Kansas City (+750) turned the ball over three times versus Washington in the first half on Sunday before righting the ship and generating 499 total yards of offense in a 31-13 victory. Through the season’s first six games, the Chiefs are one of only two teams in the last 30 seasons to score 30-plus points per game and have 14 or more giveaways. Considering the state of their defense, this doesn’t seem sustainable.

Matthew Stafford tossed four touchdowns in a 38-11 road victory over the Giants in Week 6. It will be interesting to see what the former Lion and his 5-1 Los Angeles Rams (+850) have in store for winless Detroit and the man he replaced (Jared Goff) on Sunday.

Ravens, Cardinals, Cowboys, Packers

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens (+1000) have been laying waste to the doubters all season. After destroying the Twittersphere’s favorite coach Brandon Staley and the Chargers in Week 6, Baltimore hosts Joe Burrow and a feisty Bengals (+10000) squad that is increasingly looking like their top competition in the AFC North.

Arizona (+1000) barely cracks the top five despite being the NFL’s only undefeated team at 6-0. When will Kyler Murray and the Cardinals lose their first game? It could come next Thursday when they host Aaron Rodgers and the Packers (+1100) in primetime. Green Bay has strung together five straight Ws since their season-opening loss to the Saints.

Dak Prescott threw for 445 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a wild 35-29 overtime road victory over the Patriots. Cruising at 5-1 in the awful NFC East, the only thing that might be able to stop Dallas (+1000) is head coach Mike McCarthy, who baffled viewers as always with a series of bizarre game management decisions.
