The best game of Thursday Night in the NFL puts the Los Angeles Kings facing the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center, at 10 PM ET.
The Ducks lead the Pacific Division in the Western Conference with 79 points, nine ahead of the San Jose Sharks. No team has more points than Anaheim this season with 37 wins, 10 losses and 5 overtime losses.
These two teams will meet again on Saturday night in an outdoor game at the Dodgers stadium.
“There’s a lot of distractions going on this week with this outdoor game,” said Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf. “Everybody wants to talk about it, and everyone’s been talking about it for two weeks, so it’s hard to focus in on what you need to do and getting the two points on hand. But that’s no excuse.”
Despite the Kings have the best goals against average, they have dropped three in a row against Detroit, Boston, and Columbus, and facing Anaheim won’t be an easy task, either.
“We’re doing what bad teams are doing,” forward Justin Williams told the Kings’ official website. “We’re allowing special-teams goals. We’re allowing breakdown goals. When teams score goals against us, they need to earn them and earn them heavily. We haven’t done that lately.”
The NHL Odds have the Ducks as the favorites in the moneyline listed at -148; meanwhile the Kings are +135. Los Angeles is 6-2 SU in its last 8 games when playing Anaheim.
