Geoff JohnsonAfter a crucial win over the Calgary Flames, the Philadelphia Flyers will end up their west-coast recent trip when they visit the San Jose Sharks, this Tuesday at 10:30 PM ET at HP Pavilion.
The Flyers have faced three western conference rivals over the last few weeks; they have won two of three games with Calgary as their most recent victory 5-4 on Saturday. Scott Hartnell scored his 30th goals of the season against the Flames, matching his career best from 2008-09 season.

Hartsy is having a breakout year, and it’s a credit to him playing with some great players in (Claude) Giroux and (Jaromir) Jagr,” Flyers defenseman Braydon Coburn said. “Going to the net, he makes room for himself and he gets those tough goals.
“This time of year, you’ve got to score goals from in front of the net. You’ve got to have screens because all these goalies are so good. You’ve got to have guys that are willing to get to the front, and it’s not easy.”
The Sharks are having one of the worst moments of their season as they have lost seven of their last nine games; the only good thing for them about facing Philadelphia is that they will play at home for the first time since February 10th. All those losing games were away from home.
Their most recent loss came last Sunday against the Minnesota Wild 4-3. Nobody is feeling sorry for us; that’s for sure. We just have to work our way out of it,” said captain Joe Thornton.
