The current NHL Champions, Los Angeles Kings, have done the unexpected coming back from a 0-2 deficit to lead the series against the St. Louis Blues 3-2. Game six will be at the Staples Center, this Friday at 10:00 PM ET.
The Kings beat the Blues in overtime on Wednesday and put the series to their side. “We are a resilient group,” said Jeff Carter. “A lot of guys have been through a lot of different experiences over their careers, and I think we all kind of draw off that. We don’t get too high, we don’t get too low, and that’s a big thing for us.”
Despite the lost the Blues felt they deserved to win game five, and they would try to do the same in game. “If we play like that again, I like our chances,” Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. “All we’ve got to do is win a road game and get it back here.”
The Kings took advantage of one of the two power play opportunities they had to put the game away. “I think it’s very important for us to win on the road because we played so hard the last couple of games in St. Louis,” Kings defenseman Slava Voynov said. “So it will be a little bit easier for us to play in Los Angeles, where our fans are.”
Los Angeles posted a 19-4-1 record at home this season, which is impressive enough to back them up in game six as your NHL betting pick. The last time the Kings lost at home was back on March 23rd against the Canucks; they have played nine games since that happened.
