NHL Hockey: Ducks vs Canucks

Two teams that will try to go far from in the Western Conference playoffs clash this Thursday as the Anaheim Ducks visit Rogers Arena to take on the Vancouver Canucks, at 10 PM ET.

canucks-ducksThe Ducks have won two games in a row after losing four straight; both were against the Edmonton Oilers.

“It feels great to capture the division,” Rookie goaltender Viktor Fasth said.

“We still have to keep working hard, but the last two games have been a step in the right direction for us. I think we were even better in this game than we were the night before. We still have things to work on before the playoffs, though.”

“First and foremost we needed to get back to our game and playing well,” Anaheim defenseman Francois Beauchemin said. “We needed to get some confidence and score some goals.

The Canucks have won their last two, as well. The 3-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks sounded a little as a pre playoffs statement. “If we play like we did today, I think we’re good,” Daniel Sedin said. “It hasn’t looked like that all the games, but this was one of the more complete games. We’ve been battling through a lot this year, but tonight was a step in the right direction.”

“It’s always nice to beat the best team in the NHL, but our second goal every year after making the playoffs is to clinch the division title,” Schneider said. “It speaks to the success this team has had in the past five, six years of winning titles and stuff like this.

Five of the last six games between these two have gone OVER the total.
