NHL Hockey Free Pick: Penguins vs Flyers

Both the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers look to build on winning streaks when they clash
this Saturday, at 1 PM ET at Wells Fargo Center.

Right now these two teams are just two points apart, and a win in this game may lean the balance in
order for a better spot in the playoffs; especially considering they are fourth and fifth in the standings,
which means home first round ice advantage is on the line.

NHL Hockey Free Pick: Penguins vs FlyersThe Flyers arrive to this match after putting seven on the St. Louis Blues last Thursday; Philadelphia has
the best offense in the NHL averaging 3.3 goals a game. The Penguins are not far away as they average 3
goals per game; seventh best in the league.

The Penguins and the Flyers have faced two times this season, in both games Philadelphia won, and they
didn’t allow Pittsburgh to score more than two goals in each of the two games.
“I felt pretty good, but I had so many chances that if I would have scored five goals, nobody would be
surprised,” Flyers Jeremy Jagr said after the 4-2 victory over PIT the last time they played. “I think the
most important thing is we won,” he added. “We won in Pittsburgh, and that’s tough.”

Pittsburgh has lost three of the last five games, and Philadelphia has drop five of the last seven games
they have played. None of these teams are having the best momentum right now, but the Flyers offense
is too powerful to be worried about it.

My pick: Flyers.
