NHL Playoffs Odds – Stars at Ducks Game 5

A crucial game 5 will take the stage this Friday night at the Honda Center when the Dallas Stars visit the Anaheim Ducks at 10:30 PM ET, in what should be a match full with drama.

stars_ducksThe Ducks are the top seed in the Western Conference, and shouldn’t be in this mess, but the truth is they are not playing with confidence, and that’s costing them.

“We need to settle in as a team and play with confidence,” Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano said. “There’s a reason why we finished in first place. We get to play back in our building, and we should feel confident here.”

Anaheim’s captain Ryan Getzlaf will be back in the lineup; that should help.

“I don’t think I’ve missed a playoff game in my career, so it was a tough thing to watch last night and not be a part of it,” Getzlaf said. “But that’s the way it is. It’s not in my nature at all to step away from the game unless someone forces me to. It’s been tough and not easy to deal with.”

The Stars, on the other hand, are having fun; nobody gave them a chance, and they are two victories away from advancing to the next round. “We’re having fun,” Dallas goalie Kari Lehtonen said. “This is a really great group to be in.

The Ducks are listed -150 in the money line for game 5, while the Stars are +130; the game total is at 5.5.
