With the season series tied a one, the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers will fight to win a crucial game 3 this Tuesday, when they meet at Wells Fargo Center at 8 PM ET.
Flyers backup goalie Ray Emery was the star of game two with 31 saves in the 4-2 win at Madison Square Garden over the weekend. Β “The more frequently you play, the more comfortable you are in net,” Emery said Monday. “I appreciate being in there in consecutive games. I’m kind of a Band-Aid there while Mase gets better.”
“Any experience definitely helps,” Emery added. “But seeing a team be successful in the playoffs, seeing the ups and downs a team has to go through to win a championship definitely leads to a positive experience that you can learn from.”
The Rangers know they wasted home field advantage, which puts them in a position where they need to steal at least one from Philly.
“It’s going to be a loud building, and they’re going to come,” Rangers center Brad Richards said. “Our regular season road record doesn’t really matter unless we can win some road games in this series. That’s all we’re really looking at. It doesn’t matter what we did before. Starting tomorrow we need to go in and try and win a game.
The NHL money line has the NY Rangers listed +105 to win on Tuesday and Philadelphia Flyers are -116.
