Stanley Cup Finals- Boston Bruins vs Chicago Blackhawks Game 2

After the 5th longest Stanley Cup Finals game took place Wednesday, Blackhawks and Bruins will take on game two this Saturday at 8 PM ET at the United Center.

chicago vs boston nhlIt’s fair to say it was a devastating loss for the Bruins after they were leading by two score in the third period, but the most disturbing thing could easily be the fact that they fought for six quarters and ended up losing.

“Not disappointed in our effort,” Bruins coach Claude Julien said. “There are certain things you’re going to want to fix for next game. But as far as the game is concerned, it was a hard-fought game.”

The Blackhawks are 10-1 at home in the playoffs.

“We knew it wasn’t going to be pretty at that point,” scorer Andrew Shaw said. “You could tell both teams were physically exhausted. We’ve preached it: Go to the net, you’ll find a way to get a greasy goal. We did a heck of a job of it there in the third overtime.”

“The bigger the stage, the bigger the challenge, he rises to the occasion,” Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. “He knows where the front of the net is. Doesn’t have to be pretty. He’s a warrior. He’s one of those guys that you appreciate he’s on your side, and he’s relentless.”

The moneyline for the Bruins is +130 to win game two and -150 for the Blackhawks.  They over and under game total is set at 5 goals.
