Ottawa Senators

The four-game skid started with a 4-3 defeat away to the Lightning on February 4th. The defeat ended a four-match winning streak.
A second defeat at the Lightning followed, this time Travis Green’s men lost 5-1. Further pain in Florida was to come, with a 5-1 defeat at the Panthers in Ottawa’s final match before the midseason break.
Since the resumption, it’s played one, and lost one, with Ottawa losing 5-2 at home to the Canadiens on Saturday.

Winnipeg has played two matches since the midseason break. A shootout was needed to defeat the Blues on Saturday, with Gabriel Vilardi scoring an equalizer at 19:32 of the third period to preserve Winnpeg’s unbeaten run.
That was followed by a 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Monday night. The Jets needed overtime to secure the victory. Mark Scheifele scored the all-important goal 1:33 into overtime.
The Jets are -650 to win the Central Division. Dallas is second at +400. Winnipeg is the +400 second favorite to win the Western Conference (Edmonton leads the betting at +300) and the +750 second-favorite to win the 2025 Stanley Cup.
