NHL Game Of The Night – Blackhawks at Avalanche

The Chicago Blackhawks and the Colorado Avalanche meet in the most attractive games of Wednesday Night in the NHL as they clash at 9:30 PM ET at the Pepsi Center.

The Blackhawks won their last two games over Columbus and Buffalo, with Jonathan Toews playing his best and helping the team in Marian Hossa’s absent.

“I think he’s returned from the Olympics in great shape, very confident,” coach Joel Quenneville said. “He just seems to have the knack, has good pace with it, has the puck a lot as well. And when he’s around the net, he’s getting rewarded.”.

The Avalanche has won five of their last six games, and their form seems to get better and better with every game that passes by.

“We’re not out of the race for the division lead or No. 1 in the NHL,” Colorado center Matt Duchene told the team’s official website after scoring in OT to give him 12 points in a career-best eight-game point streak. “We’re right there. We just have to keep working hard here. I mean, that’s a character win (Monday). There’s no other way to describe that. Guys just played their hearts out.”

Colorado has won three of their last four games against Chicago, including the last two in a row; however, that win by the Blackhawks was a smashing 7-2 result.
