After being delayed a year by the coronavirus pandemic, Euro 2020 will finally get underway on June 11th in an expanded format that will see 24 countries compete to be crowned the champions of Europe.
To mark the 60th anniversary of the tournament, the event will be held in 11 European cities over the next month before culminating at Wembley Stadium in London on July 11.

England and France are the favorites
Despite not having won the World Cup since 1966 and never having claimed the European Championship in its 60-year existence, England (+500) is co-favored in Euro 2020. Captain Harry Kane leads a deep group of attacking talents who have scored 39 goals in their last 14 international outings, only losing twice.
The Three Lions are in a winnable group with the Czech Republic, Scotland and Croatia, but in the Round of 16 will likely face Germany (+700), the reigning European champions in Portugal (+800) or the co-favorites in France (+500), the 2018 World Cup Champions.

Led by phenom and player-of-the-tournament frontrunner Kylian Mbappe, the French are in the Group of Death along with Germany and Portugal, but will likely be favored in every match regardless of their opponent.
Oddsmakers also like Belgium (+600), who boast as many star players as any nation in the event with Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard.
Other contenders and longshots
Outside the top contenders, Spain is listed at +800 despite failing to progress beyond the round of 16 since winning the Euros in 2012 (not to mention the 2010 World Cup and 2008 Euros before that). And Italy‘s young attacking team is at +1000 after rebounding from the embarrassment of not qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.
Thinking of betting a longshot? Keep in mind that Greece won the Euro Cup in 2004 after beginning the competition at 150/1 odds, so anything is possible.

Croatia (+2800) will benefit from the same weak Group D as England, so Luka Modric and the club that made the 2018 World Cup Final could have one more run in them. With a core of top players currently starring on some of the best teams in Europe, Denmark (+2800) is also a strong bet, having tallied 14 goals in three World Cup qualifying matches.
Looking further down the list still, Turkey (+5000) lost just one of their ten Euro qualifying games and even defeated France.
While the Danes are our preferred darkhorse, we believe Portugal (+800) will survive the Group of Death and repeat as UEFA European Football Champions.
