2025/26 Italian Serie A Betting Odds

No team is favored more than Napoli, yet the Neapolitans are still a long (+225) to hoist the trophy come May. Inter sits right behind them at (+260). Juventus (+500) and Milan (+550) are certainly in the mix as well. Roma follows suit at (+1200), followed by Atalanta (+3000) and Lazio (+5000).

Napoli in Unfamiliar Territory as Favorites

Last year I wrote about the potential of Napoli to win the Scudetto despite long odds of (+1200). Their success in the 2022-23 term, accompanied by the arrival of Romelu Lukaku and the genius of manager Antonio Conte, were the main reasons for my support. Napoli had finished 10th in 2023-24 despite underlying numbers suggesting Napoli should have finished as high as runners-up. This year, the value has been wiped away. I still believe Napoli are rightful favorites to defend their throne as the kings of Italy. But at (+225), there is no reason to bet them to do it again.

My numbers have Napoli finishing with 84 points, just one ahead of Inter at 83. This reflects the sentiments of most bookmakers. However, there is an argument that betting Napoli at BetUS could be profitable. Most sportsbooks have Napoli moved down to (+160), yet BetUS is still hanging the (+225) price. If you are looking for any excuse to back the Neopolitans, grabbing this line at BetUS is all the reason you need.

Serie A Predictions: Who Has a Better Year, Inter or Milan?

For fans of Inter or Milan, last year was a confusing one for the historic rivalry. While Inter dominated Serie A for the majority of the season and at one point seemed in line to win a treble, Milan failed to even earn European qualification. A carousel of managers and players cycled through San Siro as disappointments at one point led to an awkward confrontation with Milanese ultras.

But it was Milan who went undefeated against Inter in their five meetings across 3 competitions. Milan upset Internazionale in the Supercoppa Italiana final and knocked out their bitter rivals in the semifinals of the Coppa Italia as well. A win and a draw in Serie A competition completed the unbeaten season in the Derby della Maddonnina. So as the new season looms, how should each side feel about their chances of earning silverware?

Inter still have plenty of the pieces that went to two Champions League finals. New manager Cristian Chivu will have his work cut out for him, but should get plenty of support from fans as a longtime Inter player himself. Signings over the summer suggest a long-term gameplan as younger faces appear hunting for playing time. No longer are trophies the expectation, but instead a more ambitious goal.

Milan have also appointed a new leader as Maximiliano Allegri returns to San Siro since his initial time as manager of the club back in 2014. Allegri is arguably the greatest coach in Italian soccer history and hopes to get the most out of Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic, Milan’s best young players prime for a breakout year. Venerated veteran Luka Modric joins the club, likely to play off the bench.

Bovada is offering a fun market for the top clubs in Lombardy, the densely populated region in northern Italy with five clubs competing in Serie A. If you think Atalanta, Como and Cremonese are non-threats, this is a great chance to bet Inter or Milan to have the better season of the two.

Italian Serie A Betting: Why Atalanta Should Not be Counted Out

There is a clear schism in the ranks of Serie A. Napoli, Inter, Milan, Juventus, Roma, Atalanta and Lazio make up the top 7 betting favorites. That’s six of the seven sisters (Sette Sorelle) of Italian soccer, the most historically dominant clubs in the country. Excuse Fiorentina, Bologna, and Como from the picture, who sit in no man’s land expecting a mid-table finish. That leaves 10 clubs all hanging around the bottom of Serie A and in serious consideration of relegation in 2025-26.

Yes, that includes Torino, Udinese and Genoa. Parma, Cagliari, Lecce and Verona are in danger, while the three newly promoted sides must also fight to survive in the top flight. It’s evident that there are two different races going on in Serie A and very few middlemen. That should give teams like Lazio and Atalanta hope they can push for the title. After all, Napoli only won the Scudetto with 82 points last year.

My projections indicate Atalanta finishes with 81 points. Of course, this is difficult to model with Atalanta now overseen by a new manager. Ivan Juric now steps in for the retired Gian Piero Gasperini, a beloved character in Bergamo. Juric’s experience in Italy bodes well, but his last spell for Southampton produced embarrassing results.

At 30:1 odds, it’s hard for me to look away from the value Atalanta presents. This is a wide-open title picture with plenty of opportunity to pick up points against sides looking more behind them than ahead. If you are looking for a long shot, look no further than Atalanta.
