Roger Federer vs. Adrian Mannarino
Roger Federer opens – what could be his last Wimbledon against Adrian Mannarino. While he is not as heavily favoured as Djokovic – Novak Djokovic is a -50000 favourite (that is not a typo) at Bovada – he is still expected to advance against Mannarino.
Thank you Sir Andy, the feeling is mutual. You gotta love it 💚 See you on the 🌱🎾 https://t.co/6Jln8V6vSw

Federer is an all-time great at Wimbledon. He has an 89% winning percentage at the tournament and has made it out of the first round every year since 2003. The fans will be backing Federer all tournament – and we cannot see him exiting the tournament in the first round.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs. Mikael Ymer
One underdog we can see upsetting the favourite in the first round is Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Tsonga – excluding the years he was absent from the tournament – has advanced out of the first round every year at Wimbledon. Tsonga peaks years are behind him, but he still has enough left on his serve he can best Mikael Ymer in the first round.
Andy Murray vs. Nikoloz Basilashvili
Andy Murray – Great Britain’s favourite son – opens the 2021 Wimbledon Tournament essentially as a pick’em against Nikoloz Basilashvili. Murray has won Wimbledon twice – in 2013 and 2016 and holds an 85% winning percentage at the tournament.
Murray was absent at the last two Wimbledon’s, but from 2008 to 2017, he advanced to at least the quarter-finals every time. He may not be the same player he was during that stretch, but he still has the chops on his home course to beat the higher-seeded Basilashvili.
Alexander Zverev vs. Tallon Griekpoor
Zverev – one of the top picks to win 2021 Wimbledon – starts Wimbledon against Tallon Griekpoor. The fourth-ranked men’s player in the world is a big favourite against Griekpoor. We expect him to advance against Griekpoor with relative ease. And since his tennis betting odds are -1800, we suggest you throw him in a parlay with one of our other Wimbledon round one betting picks.
John Isner vs. Yoshihito Nishioka
The towering American opens his 2021 Wimbledon run against Yoshihito Nishioka. Isner is a heavy favourite and looking to improve on his best finish at Wimbledon – a semi-finals appearance in 2018.
Quite a few of us have a bit more time on our hands at the moment…
So, we’re setting a challenge – can you watch all 11 hours and 5 minutes of Isner vs Mahut in one go?
We’ll be replaying the full match on YouTube at 11.45am (GMT) – tune in to see if you’re up to the task 📺
— Wimbledon (@Wimbledon) March 26, 2020
Isner is best known for playing the longest match in the history of Wimbledon – an 11-hour affair in 2010 against Nicolas Mahut in the first round. Since 2010 – Isner has made it out of the first round all but one year (2012). We expect Isner to win this match, and at -850, he is someone you can parlay with Alexander Zverev and Roger Federer to get better betting value.
Coco Vandeweghe vs. Olga Govortsova
After advancing to her second quarter-finals in 2017 – Coco Vandeweghe has had some struggles at Wimbledon. Vandeweghe lost in the first round in 2018 and was absent from the tournament in 2019. Once the ninth-ranked woman in the world – Vandeweghe has struggled over the last two years, either not playing in Grand Slams or losing in the first round. Because of her recent history, we see some good betting value on Olga Govortsova – who, despite ranking higher than Coco – is an underdog in the first round.
Kiki Bertens vs. Marta Kostyuk
World number 17 Kiki Bertens opens Wimbledon against Marta Kostuk on June 29. Bertens has improved her Wimbledon record to 9-7 after making the quarter-finals in 2018 and the third round in 2019. Bertens has had some struggles over the last year. However, we expect her to at least advance to the second round of Wimbledon and is one of the underdogs we are betting on in the first round.
Angelique Kerber vs. Nina Stojanovic
Angelique Kerber is coming into Wimbledon on a winning streak after winning the 2021 Bad Homburg Open Finals against Katerina Siniakova. Kerber won Wimbledon in 2018 and made the Finals in 2016. She has struggled this year – losing in the first round of the Aussie Open and French Open.
However, we are backing her to get back on track – especially after watching her dominate on the grass at the Bad Homburg Open and picking up her first win since capturing the 2018 Wimbledon title.
Bianca Andreescu vs. Alize Cornet
Number five women’s player Bianca Andresscu goes into her first round against Alize Corner as only a slight favourite. While on the surface that seems strange, Bianca has yet to have any success at Wimbledon.
The Canadian star is only in her second Wimbledon tournament and owns a 0-1 record. However, the last time she was on the grass at Wimbledon was 2018 – well over a year before we won the US Open and cemented her status as one of the best rising players in the game. We like Bianca to right the ship this time out and beat Alize Cornet in the first round.
