Novak Djokovic goes for First Tournament Win since Wimbledon
It seems crazy that in June we were talking about Novak Djokovic potentially winning the Golden Slam and the Calendar Grand Slam. Yet, since his victory at Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic has not won a single tennis tournament.
Of course, Djokovic has only played in two events since Wimbledon – the 2021 Olympic Summer Games and the 2021 US Open. In both events, Djokovic played well – losing in the Bronze Medal match in Tokyo and falling to Daniil Medvedev at the 2021 US Open.
Novak Djokovic is also highly successful at the ATP Paris Masters. He has made six finals – winning five – and holds the records for most consecutive titles (three), most matches won (45), and most consecutive matches won (17). He won in his most recent appearance at the event as well (winning in 2019 and opting out of 2020).
Djokovic has also dropped from no.1 in the world – giving him extra motivation to grab the 1000 points awarded to the winner. Overall, going into the tournament, Novak Djokovic is our favorite bet to win the tournament and grab his sixth ATP Paris title.
Daniil Medvedev Ready to Defend his Title in Paris
The other player we believe is a smart bet to win the 2021 ATP Paris Masters is reigning champ Daniil Medvedev. Since the summer, Daniil Medvedev is the best men’s player in the world. He won the Canada Masters (also known as the Rogers Cup) in August and followed it with a Semi-Finals in Cincinnati. Then, what matters most, Medvedev won his first Grand Slam – the 2021 US Open.
Since the 2020 Paris Masters, Medvedev has seven wins. He is always competitive and only getting better. He has toppled Djokovic twice (in three matches) in the last year – and is starting to become the former world no.1’s Achilles’ heel.

We do not know the draw for the tournament – but it can be assumed that Medvedev and Djokovic will seed in opposite brackets – setting up the potential for an epic clash in the finals. So, if you bet Djokovic and Medvedev to win the tournament you are guaranteed a win (at least based on our predictions) as we expect them to meet in the Finals.
Expect Ugo Humbert in the Mix for a Second Straight Year in Paris
Although we do not know the tennis betting odds from MyTopSportsbooks yet on the event. However, we are expecting Ugo Humbert as a modest underdog and a great bet to win the 2021 ATP Paris Masters. Ugo Humbert – made the quarter-finals at the 2020 Paris Masters.
It was the Frenchman’s best showing at the tournament – and one of the best showing overall of his young career. Humbert picked up the biggest win of his career since the 2020 Paris Masters. He won the 2021 Halle Open against Andrey Rublev. Humbert also beat world no. 3 Alexander Zverev at the 2021 Halle Open.
If he gets a favorable draw, coupled with the home crowd behind him, he has the ability to end the 2021 ATP Masters as the surprise winner.
