UFC 162 – Silva vs Weidman

Great fight this weekend as Anderson Silva takes on Chris Weidman in a middleweight 5 rounds clash at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, at Las Vegas, Nevada.

Silva is the favorite in the odds listed -230 and Weidman pays +180.

silva-beltWeidman says he knows exactly what to do to pull the upset. “As soon as I started my first sparring session ever I envisioned beating Anderson Silva.”

“He’s [Silva] one of the greatest of all time, and he’s been unstoppable. For people to see something in me that they think I can beat him, that’s pretty cool. Honestly, half the guys that are picking me I’m like, how are they picking me? I don’t know where they’re getting it from, but it’s cool.”

Silva, on the other hand, is not ever worried about Weidman; he’s already trying to schedule a fight with the old legend Roy Jones Jr.

“I believe a fight against Roy Jones Jr. would be much better,” Silva told MMA Junkie. “I think my legacy is already complete. I already fought around the world. I think I’m the only athlete in this sport who has four belts from four different promotions. I have the Cage Rage belt. I have the PRIDE belt from when I beat Dan Henderson in a unification bout. I also have the Shooto and UFC belts.”

Chris Weidman has a perfect record, and he seems to have the tools to pull and rare upset; a lot of people think he’s the perfect Silva-stopper game plan, but before beating against the Brazilian, I need to see someone giving him a challenge.Β  Bet Silva.
