Brazil needs to win this game because they looked awful against Germany in the semifinals losing in an incredible way 7-1.

“I know my career will be marked by this defeat, but we have an obligation to move on and think about the next goal, which in this case is the match for third place on Saturday in Brasília,” the Brazil coach, Luis Felipe Scolari said. “I know it’s a much smaller dream than we all wanted but we have to honour the shirt of the national team.”

Netherlands doesn’t care about this game; they wanted the final and not the third place.  The last time they played this game was in 1998 when they lost 3-2 against Croatia.

‘There is still something for us to do here – we can still write history,’ Van Gaal said. ‘Holland has always lost a match in a World Cup. That happened in ‘74 and ‘78 (when they made the final). It’s quite something to go seven matches unbeaten.’

Brazil is listed +115 to win the World Cup third place and Netherlands is +260; the win +280.  Keep in mind Netherlands eliminated Brazil in South Africa 2010; so there’s a little bad blood in this match.
