WWE Extreme Rules Picks and Predictions

  • Ronda Rousey (-500) is a heavy favorite to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion
  • Matt Riddle (-260) and Seth Rollins (+180) will resume their feud in a Fight Pit match
  • The 14th annual event will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia

Extreme Rules has become a mainstay pay-per-view for the WWE with events taking place every year since 2009. This year’s edition will see two women’s title fights that put both the RAW and Smackdown championship belts on the line, as well as a Fight Pit match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins.

Before we make our picks for the three fights on the October 8th PPV, here’s where you can view the best 2022 WWE betting sites and the top betting sites for Entertainment in 2022.

Ronda Rousey vs. Liv Morgan

Ronda Rousey (-500) is a heavy favorite against Liv Morgan (+300). And given this is scripted entertainment, oddsmakers might know how the match will turn out. There’s speculation that ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ will pin the current SmackDown Women’s Champion to set up a Wrestlemania 39 match with crowd favorite Becky Lynch.

However, the WWE may have another plan, according to former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. (not that one). Since Rousey is consistently terrible on the mic, he speculated they may instead turn Liv Morgan ‘heel’ and have her defeat ‘The Rowdy One’ for the third time. (After previous victories at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam.) It might be worth rolling the dice on Morgan at +300.

Fight Pit Match Winner

Matt Riddle-260
Seth Rollins+180

Riddle vs Rollins

This is the second-straight PPV match for Matt Riddle (-260) and Seth Rollins (+180). ‘The Kingslayer’ pinned ‘The Original Bro’ at Clash at the Castle in September. The writers likely couldn’t resist a rematch after their RAW promo went viral last month. To refresh your memory, Rollins made mention of Riddle’s wife divorcing him because she didn’t “want to see his b**** a** anymore.”

Since this is Extreme Rules, the two will be wrestling in The Fight Pit. The ring will be surrounded by a steel cage, which the wrestlers can climb up and jump from. And the match can only be won by submission or when someone can’t stand up after a 10-count. We’ll take Riddle (-260) to get revenge over the ‘Face of Monday Night Raw’.

RAW Women’s Championship

Bianca Belair-140
Bayley+100

A return across the pond

After returning to the WWE at SummerSlam, Bayley (+100) pinned Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair (-140) in a six-woman tag team match at Clash at the Castle. The former WWE writer we mentioned earlier, Freddie Prinze Jr., was also quoted recently saying that the Damage CNTRL leader could easily dethrone Belair on October 8.

Considering Belair’s 175+ day title run, it may be time for the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in history to take the belt. As the new champ, Bayley could then establish a fresh feud with a returning star like Becky Lynch or Charlotte Flair.
