If one wants to go with the hot hand heading into the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 tournament, look no further than FaZe Clan. The team enters this event with three consecutive tournament wins, picking up victories at Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, and CS Asia Championships 2023. Triumphing at those events earned the team $600,000 in winnings since late October.
FaZe Clan is playing well as of late and will be looking to bounce back from their runner-up finish in this event last year, where they lost to Heroic 2-1.
The current roster of FaZe Clan has been playing together since January 2022.
FaZe Clan opens the Group Stage of the event against Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Team Vitality heads into this event coming off a 13th-16th place finish in the recent Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023 event, where they were bumped from play early on by FaZe Clan. Despite falling short in that event, Team Vitality has wins this year at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2023, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, and Gamers8 2023.
There is some concern for the team because they replaced their coach, Danny “zonic” Sørensen with Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam in October and due to the fact that Emil “Magisk” Reif left the team earlier this month. He was replaced by William “mezii” Merriman.
If the French team can gel at this event, they have a chance of winning.
Team Vitality starts the Group Stage of the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 tournament against Heroic.
The winners of the BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2023, Cloud9 have had their struggles as of late. The team was one of the favorites to win the IEM Sydney 2023 event but finished that tournament in 9th-12th place, losing to Complexity in the Group Stage of play. However, the team played well at the more recent Thunderpick World Championship 2023 event, where they placed 3rd-4th after losing to FaZe Clan in the semifinals. That was the first event for Cloud9’s newest team member, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov.
Cloud9 have been hit or miss this year, but if they are dialed in, they could be a sleeper pick to win the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
Cloud9 start the Group Stage of the tournament against Natus Vincere.
