Now that the Play-In portion of the LOL EMEA Masters Summer 2023 is behind us expect the action, and the tension, to heat up as the Main Stage gets underway on Monday, August 21. The 16 League of Legends teams that remain in the EMEA Masters Summer 2023 tournament are competing for a combined prize pool of $163,652, with the winning club taking home $43,640.58. The runner-up earns $27,275.37. The winner of the event, which American video game developer Riot Games organized, will be crowned on Friday, September 8, 2023.
The following teams qualified for the Main Stage prior to the start of the 2023 EMEA Masters Summer 2023 event: Karmine Corp, BK ROG Esports, Istanbul Wildcats, NASR Turkey, Movistar Riders, BISONS ECLUB, UOLSE, Anonymo Esports, AliorBank Team, Nativz, Macko Esports, SK Gaming Prime, Orbit, and Anonymo Esports. Joining these clubs in the Main Stage are the following teams from the Play-In stage: GTZ Esports, Team Go, Anorthosis Esports, and Dsyre.
The 16 teams remaining in the tournament face off in a double round-robin format in best-of-one matches. The top two teams from each of the four groups move on to the Knockout Stage of the Main Stage, where they will play in a single elimination bracket with the first-placed team facing the second-placed side of the other group. All matches are best-of-five.

Istanbul Wildcats
Playing out of Turkey, the Istanbul Wildcats are enjoying an excellent run in 2023. The team has placed first in three tournaments this year, winning the TCL Winter 2023 event, the EMEA Masters Spring 2023, and most recently, in mid-August, placing first at the TCL Summer 2023 showdown. As for individual honors, BAO, who has been with the squad since December 2022, was named the MVP of the EMEA Masters Spring event.
The majority of the Istanbul Wildcats lineup has been playing together since December 2022. The only recent addition is Ferret, who came on board in May.
The Wildcats are in Group A, along with Anonymo Esports, BISONS ECLUB, and GTZ Esports.
Karmine Corp
Karmine Corp pretty much revamped its entire LOL roster in May, bringing in the following players to join Cabochard and Saken: Cinkrof, Caliste, Targamas, and Skeanz. The move paid off, and the French team went on to win the LFL Summer 2023 tournament with a 14-4 record. As for the players the squad added in May, Caliste took home the MVP of that tournament. The team’s performance was a massive improvement over its ninth-place finish at the LFL Spring 2023 event.
Karmine Corp. begin the Main Stage of the 2023 LOL EMEA Masters Summer event in Group C, where they are matched with Anorthosis Esports, Macko Esports, and Nativz.
SK Gaming Prime
Starting the Main Stage in Group B, Germany’s SK Gaming Pro looks to follow their first-place finish at the recent Prime League Summer 2023 event with a victory at the 2023 LOL EMEA Masters Summer tournament. SK Gaming Prime has been playing as a unit since May 2022, with most team members joining the club in 2020 and 2021. With the time this club has spent together, expect them to be one of the most cohesive units in the event.
SK Gaming Prime looks to improve on its 3rd-4th place finish in the Spring 2023 edition of this event, where they lost 3-1 to the Istanbul Wildcats.
Also in Group B are AliorBank Team, BK ROG Esports, and Dsyre.
