With the qualifiers done, the stage is set for the final eight teams participating in the ESL Impact League Season 4 tournament. In September, 28 teams began the event. This week, the eight top teams in the women’s tournament face off in the hopes of taking home the top prize, $50,000. The runner-up gets $25,000 of the $123,000 total prize pool.
The following Counter-Strike 2 teams are competing this year: Nigma Galaxy, NAVI Javelins, FURIA fe, Fluxo Demons, FlyQuest RED, 9 Pandas Fearless, HSG fe, and shimmer. Last season, Nigma Galaxy took home first place, beating NAVI Javelins in the Grand Final.
The format of the ESL Impact League Season 4 event starts with two groups of four teams playing in best-of-one matchups in the Opening and Winner’s matches. The Elimination and Decider games are best-of-three. The top two teams from each group move on to the playoffs, where they play in a best-of-three single elimination bracket.

Nigma Galaxy
The winners of the three previous iterations of this tournament, Nigma Galaxy, are the overwhelming betting favorites to win their fourth straight title. Nigma Galaxy has been the dominant women’s team, racking up a string of wins in big tournaments, including victories at ESL Impact Katowice 2023 and ESL Impact League Season 3 earlier in 2023.
In the ESL Impact League Season 4: European Division, Nigma Galaxy went 5-0 in the Group Stage. In Season 3, they defeated FlyQuest RED 2-0 in the semifinals and topped NAVI Javelins 2-0 in the Grand Final.
The current roster of Nigma Galaxy has been together since March 2022, with most of the team playing together since 2020.
NAVI Javelins
Also coming out of the European Division is NAVI Javelins. The team has played well over the past year. Still, they have struggled to defeat Nigma Galaxy, losing to the betting favorites in this event at ESL Impact Katowice 2023 and ESL Impact League Season 3, where Nigma Galaxy topped them 2-0 in each event.
As part of Group B of the European Qualifier, NAVI Javelins went 5-0. Most team members have been together since April 2022, with LETi joining the club in March of this year.
FURIA fe
The runner-up in Season 1 and Season 2 of the ESL Impact League, FURIA fe failed to make it to the final eight of Season 3. The Brazilian team is back for Season 4 and coming off a 7-0 run in the Season 4 South American Division. The team also had a strong showing at the ESL Impact Katowice 2023 event, where they finished in 3rd-4th place. Nigma Galaxy eliminated them 2-1 in the semifinal round of that tournament.
Half of Furia fe’s roster has been playing together since 2020, while the other half joined the fold this year.
Best bet to win ESL Impact League Season 4
With their dominant run in the women’s Counter-Strike 2 events, it’s hard to find a way that the betting favorites for this event, Nigma Galaxy, could lose. However, they have been operating with a target on their backs for a while now, so there is always a chance that the other teams they are playing have found one or two weaknesses to exploit in their play. I’m not counting on that to happen in this event. Nigma Galaxy is the betting pick to win.
