The owners of the St. Louis Cardinals are the ones leading the way for the sports betting efforts, as they know that the state is leaving millions of dollars on the table each month for potential revenue. Not only that, but the pro teams themselves could cash in big time if sports betting was made legal.
This has been a major topic of conversation for a while now, especially with nearby states moving forward with legalization. In Missouri, things were as close as ever in 2023 to get things done, but in the end, legislators and lawmakers couldn’t get on the same page. This was disappointing news for people all over the state, as they were feeling optimistic for once. Now, they must wait until next fall to see if things will get done.

“For how teams are playing us with those zone coverages, we’re going to have to run the ball,” Mahomes said on how the offense was able to make adjustments vs. Chicago. “Getting those guys going downhill, it opens everything else. When the run game gets going, that’s when the offense gets going.”
With the Chiefs playing so well, there’s no question that people all over Missouri continue to check their Super Bowl betting odds to see how they stack up compared to other teams. Squads like the Eagles, Bengals, Lions, Seahawks, Cowboys and others are hoping to take down KC this year, but that’s not going to be an easy task. However, it’s important to remember that there are still plenty of people trying to block things from moving forward. There are multiple groups, specifically from a Republican background, who are going to do everything in their power to push for sports betting to remain illegal in the state. There’s plenty of revenue potential for the state, but those against it don’t seem to care about things.
However, the pro sports team uniting in this kind of fashion also has people believing that great updates will be on the way. There’s plenty of time until the 2024 ballot arrives, meaning plenty of work can be put into creating the right sports betting bill to make everyone happy. Only time will tell what happens here, but people in Missouri are excited about what the Cardinals owners are putting together. It could lead to historic news for the state.
