Oh how things are about to change when it comes to sports betting over in Ohio. While things have been illegal, that’s all about to change with things being given the green light for the Jan. 1 opening. To make things even better for fans out there, Ohio residents can start preregistering for sportsbooks launching ahead of the date. That’s right, according to a report, multiple sportsbooks are now giving people the option to start setting up their accounts.
This only adds to the excitement for the Jan. 1 date to arrive. Come midnight to open 2023, people will officially be able to place their bets. With this, though, there’s going to be a ton of competition for the major sportsbooks out there to get the attention of people who are ready to finally make their legal wagers. This is why several companies are trying to get a head start and let people sign up now.
Not only that, but several sportsbooks are also putting together welcome bonuses to try and entice people to hop on board. This includes a 100 percent sign-up match, which is pretty common across the board for sportsbooks. With this, say if you’re in Ohio and you sign up to preregister, you can make a $100 deposit, but then also have an extra $100 go into your account. That’s hard to say no to.
With the energy surrounding Ohio sports betting, it only makes sense that the different places are going out of their way to try and attract more and more people. The sooner we get to the Jan. 1 launch, the more advertisements you’re going to see. At the end of the day, countless betting options will finally be made available to people in the state in legal fashion, and the countdown continues to shorten. Get excited, folks.

Bengals odds are going to be looked at closely
With people already being able to look at different sign-up options, this means the Bengals odds are going to be looked at closely. There’s no question that the AFC North side is the most popular pro football team in the state, as Cincinnati was able to fool countless people last season. No one expected them to somehow make it to the Super Bowl last year, but they pulled it off. Now, people will be checking their NFL betting odds consistently.
The only bummer right now is that legal bets still can’t be made. Despite that, you can still get your fix by looking at the odds, including the Super Bowl betting odds, leading up to the Jan. 1 release of legal wagers. While the Bengals will surely be a popular betting option for sports fans, there’s going to be several other teams worth watching the rest of the NFL season as well.
The Buffalo Bills continue to turn heads and they hold the No. 1 Super Bowl numbers. The Bills, led by quarterback Josh Allen, are coming off a close win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. In that matchup, the Bills were down 20-3 at one point, However, Allen and the rest of the lineup came up huge, helping the team record a last-second win. The Ravens will surely regret their decision to forego a chance to kick a field goal late.
Elsewhere in the NFL, teams like the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to be interesting to watch the rest of the way. You better believe that people all over Ohio will look to place bets on them sooner than later. Again, Jan. 1 is when those bets can come to fruition, but that’s less than three months away for the good people of Ohio.
Yeah…@JoeyB's 525-yard game is one of our favorites too 😏

Different advertisements will keep making their way to Ohio
What’s important to remember here too is that different advertisements will keep making their way to Ohio. These new promotions for the early registering for the sportsbooks is one thing, but things will reach a totally different level as we inch closer to Jan. 1. There’s going to be ads online, on the radio, through social media and of course on different television spots. That’s a given.
You can fully expect the local Bengals TV stations to carry ads for the sportsbooks too, as it will only have people more interested in signing up for betting options. Obviously, the better deal that’s offered, the more it might catch the attention of someone who is on the fence of signing up for a particular sportsbook or not. People love free money and they’re of course going to love some free betting deals.
Only time will tell how successful sports betting can be in Ohio, but the expectation is that it’s going to be incredibly popular in the state. People already can’t stop talking about legal sports betting, and we’ve still got some time left before Jan. 1 gets here. From our chair, we fully expect sports betting to take off in Ohio. The wait is about to end for everyone, which is fantastic to see in this case.
