In our latest Formula 1 betting picks, we tell you if he will win and what the best bets are to make this weekend.

Max Verstappen clinched his third-successive Drivers Championship title in Qatar at the start of October. Such has been the dominance of the Dutchman, he wrapped the title up by coming second in the Sprint. He then put the icing on the cake by driving to victory in the Qatar Grand Prix on the following day for his 14th win of the season.

This weekend, Verstappen heads to Austin as the World Champion, and his Red Bull team has already secured the Constructors Championship. But fear not, there are still plenty of F1 betting markets still alive, just not the main two.

Betting to win the Drivers Championship without Verstappen

Sergio Perez has led this market all season. He was once as short as -1000 but is now -400 to win the Drivers Championship without Verstappen (come second). Lewis Hamiton is second at +275, with Lando Norris and Fernando Alonso at +20000.

Perez currently sits on 224 points. Hamilton is 30 behind on 194. Fernando Alonso sits not far off Hamilton with 183 points. But the problem for the Spaniard is that Aston Martin has gone backward in recent weeks.

Making a late charge in this market are Lando Norris (+20000) and Oscar Piastri (+100000). The problem for the two McLarens is they are too far behind to catch Perez. Norris currently sits on 136, with Piastri down at 83. It would be fair to add another zero to the odds for Piastri.

Betting to win the Constructors Championship without Red Bull

Also still a live market is the betting to win the Constructors Championship without Red Bull. The market leader is Mercedes at -350. Ferrari is next at +350, with McLaren at +750.

Mercedes sits second on the table with 326 points. Ferrari is on 298, Aston Martin has 230, and McLaren has 219. Aston Martin hasn’t had a driver on the podium since Alonso finished second at the Dutch Grand Prix at the end of August. This is why there are no odds on Aston Martin from BetOnline and why Alonso is +20000 in the drivers market.

The fight seems to be between Mercedes and Ferrari. But with McLaren finishing the season strongly, they may well go close. Norris and Piastri picked up a combined 33 points in Japan and again in Qatar.

Finishing the second and third every week will be difficult. But with 22 to 33 points a race available for the top five finishers, Mercedes may find their 107-point lead over McLaren under threat by the end of the season. It’s inconceivable to think that the two McLaren cars won’t occupy two of the top five positions in most of the races across the remainder of the season.

Betting to win the 2023 United States Grand Prix

Onto this weekend’s race and the best Formula 1 betting sites again make Max Verstappen their -450 favorite to win. His teammate Sergio Perez is no longer the second favorite. The Mexican has had a torrid time lately and finds himself as the fourth favorite at +1800.

Versteppen’s closest betting rivals are Lando Norris (+1200) and Oscar Piastri (+1200).

Outside the Red Bulls and McLarens, Charles Leclerc is +2500, with Carlos Sainz, Lewis Hamilton, and George Russell all at +2800. Full 2023 US Grand Prix betting is on our F1 odds table below.

Our 2023 US Grand Prix Betting Picks

There’s a Sprint race again this weekend. As Oscar Piastri showed in Qatar, this race can upset the form book and can make for some alternative betting picks.

The Circuit of the Americas’ course has 20 turns, of which 17 are high-speed. The last two races have had similar high-speed turns, and the McLarens performed well in both.

Lando Norris is +1100 to win the Sprint, and Oscar Piastri is +1200. They are both excellent value bets. And we feel both are worthwhile betting picks to win the US Sprint race.

Sticking with the McLaren theme, and why not back them to win the US Grand Prix as well? Okay, Max Verstappen won here last year and has won just about everything other than the Super Bowl.

But Verstappen is -450 to win the race. Any McLaren is +550. It’s obvious where the value bet is. We make any McLaren to win the race our pick for the 2023 US Grand Prix.
