But Bell will find he has competition from Kyle Larson, who showed why he is the man to beat in 2024 with his remarkable victory at Sonoma last Sunday. The Iowa Corn 350 will be the first time a NASCAR Cup Series race has been held at Iowa Speedway. The circuit is a D-shaped oval that is 0.875 miles in length. The winner will need to complete 350 laps of the circuit, which equals 306.25 miles or 492.86 kilometers.

Christopher Bell enjoys this circuit. He has won here twice previously in 2018 and 2019 in the Xfinity Series. He also has two second-place finishes here in the same two years. As a result, Bell is a heavy favorite to win the inaugural Cup Series race this weekend.
Bell will have the man of the moment to contend with. After three (point-scoring) races without a podium, Kyle Larson returned to form on the Sonoma Raceway road circuit last Sunday, taking the checkered flag to win the Toyota Save Mart 350.

The win wasn’t only a victory for Larson, it was also down to a huge strategy call by his pit crew who decided to leave him out long into the final stage before calling him in for his final tire change.
Larson trusted his crew, and the strategy worked perfectly as he was able to work his way through the field and claim his third win of the season. He also reclaimed the top spot in the points table.
The win for Larson and Hendrick looks ominous for the rest of the field for the remainder of the 2024 season.
Betting to win the 2024 Iowa Corn 350
We already know that Christopher Bell (+375) is the short-priced favorite to win the 2024 Iowa Corn 350. So who are his closest betting rivals?
Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin at +700 is the answer. Both are drivers who will suit an oval circuit like Iowa.
Fourth in the betting is Ryan Blaney at +800, with his Dark Horse teammate Joey Logano at +1000. Also at +1000 is Martin Truex Jr., with William Byron, Ty Gibbs, Brad Keselowski, and Tyler Reddick all on +1200.

Betting to win the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series
After losing the sole favorite position to Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson is back at the top of the betting after last Sunday’s win at Sonoma.
Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson are now the +400 joint favorites to win the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series.
Still in the mix is William Byron, he is now the third favorite at +500, with Christopher Bell next at +750. Outside of the leading four, Chase Elliott is +1000, with Martin Truex Jr. having drifted to +1100. Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney are now +1200.
Chase Elliott has now moved up to second in the points table. He is just 14 points behind Larson and 12 ahead of Hamlin in third.
Another driver quietly going about his business is Tyler Reddick, who is now fourth in the table on 512 points. Reddick is 49 behind the leader, Kyle Larson (561 points).
The only driver in the top five without a points-scoring win this season is Martin Truex Jr.
2024 Iowa Corn 350 Betting Picks and Predictions
We are not for a moment saying Christopher Bell won’t win. But he looks too short to wager on at +375. He is +125 to finish in the top three. Maybe that looks like a better value bet.
Elsewhere, we are looking at the much-maligned Martin Truex Jr. Let’s be honest, he has been a touch unlucky in recent weeks. He had a flat tire at Gateway and ran out of fuel at Sonoma.
A positive: he has performed well at Richmond, a track with plenty in common with Iowa.
Truex Jr. is +180 for the top five, +325 for the top three, and +1000 to win. We are playing safe and backing him to finish in the top three at +325.
For our race winner, we are going with Kyle Larson. He is just in top form and it would be no surprise to see him land a run of high finishes over the next few weeks.
