- Miami Heat are 4-1 in past five
- Miami are top-10 in scoring in away games
- Detroit are on a 1-3 run at home
The Miami Heat have one losing skid this season. The team dropped three straight on the road to the Nuggets, Lakers, and Clippers earlier this month. Miami followed that short skid with four consecutive wins. Miami’s winning ways ended on Saturday when they dropped a road game to the Washington Wizards.
The Detroit Pistons have had a very rough start to 2021-22. The Pistons have yet to win back-to-back games and have lost four games in a row twice this season. Detroit is currently on a two-game losing run at home. The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Pistons 121-116 on Sunday night.
Miami faces the Pistons on Tuesday, November 23 at Little Caesars Arena.

Miami Analysis
The Miami Heat are the No. 2 team in the Southeast Division at this stage of the 2021-22 NBA season. Miami’s record of 11-6 puts the club a half-game behind the Washington Wizards in the division. The Heat are the No. 7 scoring team in the NBA this season with an average of 109.8 points per game. The team is more effective at home, with an average of 111.3 points per home game and 108.7 points per game on the road. As good as the Heat have been in scoring, they have been better at keeping the opposition from putting up points. Miami allows the fourth-fewest points per game at 102.4. With that being said, Miami allows a lot more points on the road (105.1) than at home (98.4)

Jimmy Butler leads the Heat in scoring with an average of 25.1 points per game. Tyler Herro is also averaging more than 20 points per game for the Heat with 21.6. Despite the nagging injury, Butler is averaging 33.7 minutes per game. The team expects Butler to be on the court against Detroit.
Detroit Analysis
The Detroit Pistons have a 4-12 record this season, which puts them in the basement of the Central Division. The only team with a worse record in the Eastern Conference is the Orlando Magic, who are 4-13. Detroit ranks 29th in the 30-team NBA in scoring per game with an average of 99.6 points. The Pistons’ home and away scoring is almost identical at 99.7 and 99.4. Detroit does an okay job of keeping their opponents from scoring. They rank 20th in that department, allowing an average of 108.3 points per game. At home, the Pistons surrender, on average, 107 points per game.
5 #Pistons scored in double-digits in last night's home game against the Lakers. @JeramiGrant recorded his 2nd 30+ performance of the season & a season-high 5 from beyond the arc. @CadeCunningham_ achieved his 1st triple-double in his 11th career game (13 PTS, 12 REB, 10 AST). pic.twitter.com/zNNBpGm5zt
— Detroit Pistons (@DetroitPistons) November 22, 2021
No one on the Pistons is averaging more than 20 points per game. The club’s top scorer is Jerami Grant, who is averaging 19.3 points per game. The fall off after Grant is pretty extreme as the next highest points per game average is Cade Cunningham with 14.1 points per game.
This year is expected to be a rebuilding year for the Pistons.
MyTopSportsbook’s Picks
Bet Miami to win. Detroit is going to struggle to get wins against average teams in the NBA this season. The Heat are not an average team.
Bet the under. Detroit has not been good on offense this season and when you pair that fact with how strong Miami has been on defense, things do not look good when it comes to the Pistons putting up points in this matchup.
