PFL’s light heavyweight division will crown a new champion in 2023 as two PFL Challenger Series contract winners face off in the 205-pound title fight. Those fighters are Josh Silveira and Impa Kasanganay. Silveira joined the PFL in 2022 after claiming two titles with the LFA in 2021, light heavyweight and middleweight. One of the under-the-radar fighters of the 2023 PFL season looks to keep his run of upset victories intact in the featherweight title fight on Friday. That fighter, Jesus Pinedo, is coming off two knockout wins, stopping 2022 PFL featherweight world champion Brendan Loughnane and last season’s runner-up Bubba Jenkins in those outings. Pinedo faces the undefeated Gabriel Alves Braga, who is in his first season with PFL. Braga is 4-0 with the promotion and coming off a split-decision win over Chris Wade in August.
