With such a strong offense and starting rotation, the Phillies could be in a position to win the NL East this year too. The Braves are the best team on paper right now, but Philly isn’t going to just let Atlanta walk away with the title. One thing to keep in mind here too is that people in Delaware remain hopeful online betting will come this summer. As things stand, people are only able to make legal sports wagers at three authorized locations. While this is a bit of a bummer, it’s still positive that Delaware folks aren’t stuck on the outside looking in like fans in Texas, California, Florida and more. With that said, online betting would provide a major boost for the total sports betting handle.
As we’ve said time and time again, few things beat being able to pull out your mobile device from wherever you might be and then bet on your favorite team. Not only that, but it would also result in a large number of wagers coming in. There’s no question that we would see a large increase for things in Delaware. In a perfect world, online betting in Delaware would arrive in late September. This would be huge for two reasons. That right there would be huge. This is by design too. Officials in Delaware know the importance of getting things rocking by the time football is here. While no official launch date has been set for online options, sportsbooks are ready to launch in Delaware as well. This speaks to how big this project could be for the state, which is why a lot of the big-time playmakers in the betting industry want to be able to hit the ground running in getting their businesses set up. This is going to be key, as there is surely going to be a ton of competition among sports fans for who they want to roll with.
However, nothing is going to be able to get done in terms of having people sign off until the Delaware governor and the lawmakers are able to get on the same page and move forward.
