History of Spain in the FIFA World Cup

Only eight teams have ever won the FIFA World Cup, and Spain is one of them. They won the tournament in 2010 in South Africa. They have consistently been one of the most present teams in the World Cup Finals as well.

When they beat the Netherlands in the 2010 final, it would have been the first trophy for either national team. This was a brutal match on the Dutch side with 14 yellow cards being handed out. Despite this, the Spanish team won the FIFA Fair Play Trophy that year.
