Corey Seager is the Favorite to Win 2023 World Series MVP

With Game 1 of the World Series coming on Friday, people across the globe can’t wait to see the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers go to war with the Fall Classic on the line. It’s a surprise that these two teams are facing off, but no one can question how elite their players have been during this postseason. So, who will be the Most Valuable Player? To no surprise, Corey Seager is the favorite to win 2023 World Series MVP.

Seager is without question one of the best sluggers in the game and he’s been very clutch for the Rangers for months now. Seager is also entering the World Series with a ton of confidence, as had performed quite well in the ALCS against the Houston Astros. Because of Seager and his incredible ability to deliver for this team, plenty of Rangers fans have a feeling that Texas will be able to stun Arizona.

The stud shortstop was a total force during the regular season, as he hit .327 with 33 homers and 96 RBI. Those numbers are what helped the Rangers grab a Wild Card spot. Keep in mind that the Rangers nearly missed the postseason, but they were able to grab a victory when needed against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park. Now, they are four wins away from bringing home a World Series title.

According to the best-rated sportsbooks, which includes the reliable Bovada review, Seager holds +500 MLB betting odds to be named the World Series MVP. With the way he swings the bat, plus his incredible work in the infield for the AL West side, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see Seager come out on top. However, with all of that said, we’re going in a different direction in this case.

Adolis Garcia is our pick to win World Series MVP

While Seager is a massive talent and has what it takes to power the Rangers to a World Series win, we’re going to have to say that Adolis Garcia is our pick to win World Series MVP. Garcia is a name that not a lot of baseball fans were familiar with until just a short time ago. Garcia has won over countless people thanks to all of the adversity he has had to overcome in his career thus far.

Now that he’s with the Rangers and making big plays, Garcia is an easy guy to root for. He has hit some massive home runs for the Rangers this year. Garcia also plays the game with a humble head on his shoulders. Whenever Texas has been in need of a timely hit this postseason, it seems like Garcia has been there to answer the call for his manager and teammates. More of the same should be on the way in the World Series.

“He was sort of their secret, overshadowed by Seager and (Marcus) Semien and others, at least among fans outside Dallas-Ft. Worth,” MLB insider Ken Rosenthal said of Garcia after the stunning Game 7 win over the Houston Astros earlier this week. “But in his record-breaking ALCS, he emerged as a central figure in the sport, a jaw-dropping, five-tool talent who no longer can be ignored.”

According to the oddsmakers, Garcia holds +600 World Series betting odds to win MVP. He’s right behind Seager. This really could come down to whether or not the Rangers win the World Series and who steps up the most for the American League squad. Both Seager and Garcia are incredible players and they will look to make major noise throughout the series. With all of that said, we’re rocking with Garcia.

Ketel Marte is a player to watch for the MVP hunt

It goes without saying, but Ketel Marte is a player to watch for the MVP hunt. If the Diamondbacks have any chance of taking down Texas in the World Series, then Marte is going to have to be at his absolute best. In the NLCS, Marte was a stud, taking home MVP honors for his work against the Phillies. Going into that series, no one thought the D-Backs would have a chance to take down Philly.

With Bryce Harper and Co. going up 2-0 in the series early on too, it felt like the Phillies had one foot in the World Series. However, the Diamondbacks were able to fight back and Marte looked like an absolute superstar in the comeback. Earlier this week, the Diamondbacks were able to do the unthinkable in beating the Phillies in Game 7 of the NLCS. Don’t forget too that this game was played at Citizens Bank Park.

Arizona’s back was against the wall, but they proved all of their doubters wrong. Will more of the same be on the way for them against the Rangers? It’s hard to say, but Marte is motivated to keep the good times going. Marte holds +1100 MLB betting odds to win MVP. While we’re going with Garica, Marte will definitely be a player to keep a close eye on throughout the best-of-seven matchup.
