Like the Red Sox, Los Angeles is on a four-game winning streak after downing the winless Marlins in three consecutive contests. Angels’ rookie first baseman Nolan Schanuel is now third on the all-time list for straight games (35) reaching base to start a career after extending his streak in Wednesday’s 10-2 victory over Miami.

Starting pitching matchup
Kutter Crawford (0-0) will be on the hill for Boston after giving up just three hits and an unearned run with seven strikeouts in his season opener against the Mariners. Still looking for his first W of the year, the 28-year-old righty will hope for more run support than he got in the 4-3 loss to Seattle.
Griffin Canning (0-1, 9.00) gave up five runs and seven hits with walk in against Baltimore on Saturday. Since suffering the 13-4 defeat, the Angels have reeled off four wins in a row.
Angels vs Red Sox
You’ll have to pay heavy juice (-205) if you like Boston’s +1.5 run line, while a two-run victory by Los Angeles pays out at +180. While the Angels are at home for the first time all year, the Red Sox will have a serious starting pitching advantage if Cutter and Canning perform like they did in their season debuts.
