Could this be the year where the Texas Rangers win the World Series? That’s what fans all over the state are hoping for, as the AL West side has been on an improbable run this year. Entering Monday night, the Rangers were tied at 1-1 with the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Fall Classic, with the two sides splitting the first two games. Now, though, the Rangers are strong World Series favorites after winning Game 3.
Indeed, the Rangers made quite a statement on Monday, as they were able to take down the Diamondbacks in a crucial game for this series. After the first two games were played at Globe Field in Arlington, the two teams packed their backs for Arizona to keep things going. Entering the showdown, the D-Backs were expected to protect their home field and grab a win, but the Rangers had other ideas.

The player of the game for the Rangers in the victory was no question Corey Seager, who blasted a monster home run for this team to put them up 3-0 early. Seager has been on a tear (more on him below) and he’ll need to keep playing well in order for the Rangers to try and make history. Texas has never won the title before, but countless supporters are dreaming of the title being lifted soon enough.
According to the best-rated sportsbooks, which includes the reliable Bovada review, the Rangers now hold -290 MLB betting odds to win it all. The Diamondbacks are now at +250. These odds alone tell you that the experts think Texas is going to be able to come out on top, as they’re now up 2-1. Only time will tell if the Rangers seal the deal, but we’re going with them to win the World Series, no doubt.

Corey Seager and Adolis Garcia are the front-runners for MVP
With the way the series has shaken out thus far, Corey Seager and Adolis Garcia are the front-runners for MVP. This makes a ton of sense, as these two guys have been rockstars for the Rangers throughout the year, especially in the postseason. With Seager, he belted the huge 2-run homer against the Diamondbacks in Game 3 and it proved to be the difference in the close win. We can’t overstate how great he’s been.
Not only is Seager great with the bat in his hands, but he’s also fantastic from his shortstop position too. As for Garcia, he has an unreal amount of power and fans love seeing him at the dish. In Game 1 of the World Series, Garcia ended things in the best way possible, as he smashed a walk-off home run that was widely celebrated by the Texans fans at the stadium. This is a blast that Garcia is never going to forget:

“I don’t think I ever imagined that these types of things would be happening to me,” García said after belting his epic walk-off home run against the D-Backs in Game 1. “But I’m very grateful and happy, and I’m just going to keep giving it my best to help us win it all.”
Garcia is a humble guy and he’s an easy player for fans to root for. Per the oddsmakers, Garcia holds +250 MLB betting odds to take home World Series MVP honors, while Seager is right behind him at +400. This could come down to whether the Rangers win the World Series or not, but since we’re expecting them too, we have to make a tough choice here. As close as this race may be, we’re going with Garcia as our pick. We expect more clutch homers to be on the way from him the rest of the way.
The Rangers have what it takes to wrap things up by Game 6
The confidence is high for Texas right now and there’s no question in our minds the Rangers have what it takes to wrap things up by Game 6. With Texas now up 2-1, they have all the momentum, especially with them posting a tough road win the way they did on Monday evening. These two teams will face off once again on Tuesday and this really feels like it’s going to be a must-win game for Arizona.
However, Texas will enter Game 4 with a ton of confidence and they have a fantastic chance of extending their series lead to 3-1. Should that happen, then the Rangers will be in business to wrap things up sooner rather than later. We don’t think the Diamondbacks will be able to extend this series to seven games, but we do think they’ll win one more game before it’s all said and done.
Right now, the World Series betting odds for things to end by Game 6 are at +350. Game 5 is at +500 and Game 7 is at +750. These are all pretty decent odds and things will surely be impacted by the way things go for Game 4. With all of that said, our gut feeling is telling us that the Rangers will win it all and bust out the bubbly after Game 6. That’s our pick in this case.
