- BetOnline has the Suns as -255 chalk to win the NBA Championship
- The Bucks opened as 4-point home favorites in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, which tips off from Milwaukee on Wednesday, July 14 at 9 pm ET
- Phoenix’s Chris Paul (-275) is leading the Finals MVP race over Giannis Antetokounmpo (+225)
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 41 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in a 120-100 Game 3 win over Phoenix on Sunday night as the Bucks dominated their first home NBA Finals game since 1974, cutting the Suns’ series lead to 2-1.
Milwaukee, now 17-3 at home in the playoffs over the past four seasons, will have a chance to even the series on Wednesday night. Let’s look at the opening Game 4 odds before examining the updated NBA MVP odds. As always, if you need any help or advice, review these tips for betting on basketball.
2021 NBA Finals – Game 4
Spread | Money Line | Total Runs | |
Phoenix Suns | +4.0 (-110) | +160 | Ov 220.5 (-110) |
Milwaukee Bucks | -4.0 (+110) | -180 | Un 220.5 (-110) |
Milwaukee open as 4-point home favorites
So much for Giannis’ hyperextended left knee keeping him out of the NBA Finals. The Greek Freek joined elite company in LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal, and Michael Jordan as the only players in the last 50 seasons to log back-to-back 40-point Finals games. Giannis may have to match MJ’s record of four straight 40-point games (1993 Finals) to even the series with the Suns, who have only lost on the road three times this postseason.
The Suns remain a heavy -255 favorites to win the NBA Championship, but they’re 4-point underdogs to the Bucks in Game 4. To seize control of the series heading back to Phoenix they’ll need more from Devin Booker, who shot 3 for 14 on Sunday night, scoring just 10 points.

As breathtaking as Antetokounmpo has been in the NBA Finals, the key to Milwaukee winning the series might be Jrue Holiday, who bounced back from two poor games in Phoenix with five three-pointers and 21 points in Game 3. Khris Middleton is also due for a big game, given he had a 38-point and a 32-point effort against Atlanta and a 38-point and 35-point blow-up game versus Brooklyn.
If you like the Bucks to win the series, get your bets down prior to Wednesday night when you can get +215 odds.
NBA Finals MVP
Chris Paul | -275 |
Giannis Antetokounmpo | +225 |
Devin Booker | +1000 |
Deandre Ayton | +2500 |
Kris Middleton | +4000 |
Jrue Holiday | +6600 |
Chris Paul is MVP frontrunner
Seeking his first-career NBA title after 16 seasons in the league, Chris Paul is viewed as a -275 lock to win NBA Finals MVP if the Suns win the championship, with his teammates Devin Booker (+1000) and Deandre Ayton (+2500) trailing far behind. However, Middleton (+4000) and Holiday (+6600) are even further behind Antetokounmpo (+225) in the MVP race after twin 40-point efforts from the two-time NBA MVP
Bottom line, Giannis will win the award if Milwaukee can come back from a 2-1 series deficit and claim the city’s first title since 1971.

We originally picked the Suns in 6 games over the Bucks, but there’s little value left in betting on a Phoenix series victory or a Chris Paul MVP.
If you like the Suns to win their first-ever championship, consider a +160 bet (BetOnline) on Phoenix to win Game 4 in Milwaukee. If you like the Bucks to battle back, taking Antetokounmpo at +225 to win the Finals MVP is your best value.
