Is the end of the Warriors dynasty here? In what has been a major shock this season, the Golden State Warriors are under .500 at this point of the season, which is not what anyone was ready to see. Normally, you’d expect the Western Conference powerhouse near the top of the standings. However, this team is on the outside looking in for the playoffs as of this writing. With that said, the Warriors are underdogs against the Jazz for a midweek battle.
On Wednesday night, the two teams will be facing off in Utah and not a lot of people think that the Warriors will be able to post a win. This shows you how much this team has fallen this season. Normally, you’d expect Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to dominate. However, it’s clear their best basketball is behind them, which is a bummer to see. Curry and Thompson are one of the best shooting duos in league history.

With that said, something has been off for them this season and there are rumors that the Warriors could look to trade anyone on the roster, except for Curry. There’s still plenty of time for the Warriors to turn things around and sneak into the playoffs, but right now, the optimism is not high at all for the squad to do that. Only time will tell if Thompson, Curry and others will be able to play at a high level for the rest of the winter and spring. A win against the Jazz is needed.

Draymond Green returning for the Warriors will be key the rest of the way
A major topic of conversation is no question that Draymond Green returning for the Warriors will be key the rest of the way. Green has missed double-digit games due to a suspension over his behavior on the court. As great as Green is, he has also built quite a reputation as being a fighter and a dirty player. This led to the NBA suspending him last month. Now, though, Green is officially back for this team.
According to a report, Green’s suspension will be ending and he not only was active for the game against the Grizzlies, but he’s now ready to play against the Jazz on Wednesday night too. Yes, Green is a bit of a controversial player, but on defense, he’s one of the best in the game and he makes a monster different for Golden State. The hope is that Green can help the Warriors get back on track moving forward. He should be able to do just that.

“I think Draymond knows his career is on the line. It really is,” Kerr said last week when discussing a potential Green return. “Based on what’s happened over the last year, based on the recent suspension, based on everything that’s gone on — I think he recognizes that it is different this time. This wasn’t a suspension for getting too many technicals. This wasn’t a suspension for one Flagrant foul. This was different.”
Now that Green is back, he’s going to have to play a bit more carefully – he can’t risk any other technical fouls or flagrant fouls. The absolute last thing Kerr and his coaching staff have to worry about is him facing a suspension. Luckily, we think Green has learned his lesson in this case and he’ll help the Warriors improve their NBA Finals betting odds in the process.

In our final look at this game for Wednesday night, we think the over should hit between the Warriors and Jazz. Utah may not be in the biggest market, but there’s no question that they have plenty of talented players on offense who know how to score a lot of points in a quick manner.
With Golden State, you’ve just got to assume that they’re going to break out of their cold streak sooner rather than later. Curry and Thompson are simply too good of shooters for a low-scoring affair to be recorded. With Golden State needing to send a message in this one as well, we think those two will rise to the occasion.

With Golden State and Utah both ready to put on a show, we expect plenty of points to be scored at the Delta Center. With all of that said, we’re also going with the over as our pick.
