The best game of the Wednesday NBA lineup features the Miami Heat visiting the Los Angeles Clippers, at 10:30 PM ET at the Staples Center.
Miami is 34-13 this season and 14-9 away from home; the Heat enters this game with two wins in a row against the NY Knicks and the Detroit Pistons.
On Monday, Dwayne Wade scored 30 points, his best in over a month and helped the Heat beating the Pistons 102-96. “D-Wade knew what he had going on, too,” Lebron James said. “He was like, ‘I need this double-double.’ He had a heck of a game. He was spectacular.”
“It’s not meant for it to happen this year,” James said about his close triple-double. “My own guys got me. But a win is what it’s about, and I’m happy we played well for most of the game.”
The Clippers are 34-17, and 20-3 at home, but they lost in their last outing 116-115 against the Denver Nuggets. “I thought we played it well,” said Blake Griffin, who scored 36 points. “I switched out. I contested. I didn’t want to get too close. Obviously, I didn’t want to foul a guy shooting a 30-footer. It’s on me. I’ve got to be better in that situation I guess.”
Miami is a half point favorite in the NBA spread for Wednesday; however, the Clippers have covered three of their last four meetings against the Heat, all of them as the underdog.
