NBA Betting – Thunder at Spurs (Game 5)

Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs (-7, 199.5 o/u)

Despite splitting Games 3 and 4 at home, the Oklahoma City Thunder (6-3 SU, 5-4 ATS) seem to have the momentum in their best-of-seven Western Conference semi-final against the San Antonio Spurs (6-2 SU, 5-3 ATS) heading into tonight’s critical Game 5  (8 PM Eastern).

OKC trailed late in Game 4 and were staring a 3-1 series deficit in square in the eye, but they put together a 34-16 fourth-quarter rally to even the series at two games apiece. Kevin Durant found his rhythm late, while San Antonio seemed to lack a go-to option on offense when the outcome was hanging in the balance; if LaMarcus Aldridge is not involved in the offense, San Antonio struggles to find key baskets.

Durant finished with 41 points on the night and routinely victimized NBA Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard.

The Spurs will likely to try run the offense through Aldridge tonight. The forward averaged 39.5 points per game in the first two games of the series in San Antonio, but just 22.0 when it moved to OKC.

No team has won two straight in this series yet. However, OKC found matchups they liked in Game 4 and will try to exploit them from the start. Seven points seem too many to lay down for a series that’s been very even over the last three games.

Pick: OKC +7.
