Amanda Serrano (46-2-1, with 30 KOs) is the No. 1 fighter in the women’s featherweight division, according to The Ring. The magazine also ranks Serrano at No. 4 in the women’s pound-for-pound rankings behind Clarissa Shields, Katie Taylor, and Chantelle Cameron. Serrano is unbeaten in her past four outings. Her only loss in the past 11 years is an April 2022 split-decision setback to Katie Taylor at lightweight.
Nina Meinke (18-3, 4 KOs) is the No. 2 rated fighter at featherweight, according to The Ring. This is her second shot at the IBF featherweight title. SIn her first title shot, she dropped a unanimous decision to Sarah Mahfoud in April 2022. Meinke is 6-0 since that loss and coming off an October unanimous decision win over Laura Ledezma.
Serrano vs. Meinke is scheduled for 12 three-minute rounds.

The champ, Amanda Serrano, is an aggressive fighter. She moves forward, uses pressure, and closes distance well, while fighting behind a jab. Serrano uses that jab to open the defense of her opponents. Once she accomplishes that, the champ employs a mix of power punches, including overhand rights and heavy body shots to pick up points. She does well with throwing combinations, and she can rack up an eye-opening number of thrown punches. In her most recent outing, an October 2023 matchup against Danila Ramos, Serrano attempted a career-high 1,103 punches and landed 338 of those strikes in picking up the decision win.
At 35, Serrano is getting older, but she is not slowing down.
This fight is Serrano’s first in her home of Puerto Rico since 2021.
Nina Meinke betting breakdown
Nina Meinke only has four knockout wins in her career, and that doesn’t bode well for her against Amanda Serrano. If Serrano doesn’t have to worry about the power of her foe, she will look to control where the fight takes place and the pace at which the battle is contested. Meinke’s best bet to avoid that is to look to catch Serrano being too aggressive in the early moments of the fight. That’s a tall order against someone as talented as Serrano.
Meinke has good movement, and she has a solid lead left hand. If she can land that blow and move in and out of Serrano’s range, she could frustrate the champ and open her up for more power punches when Serrano is off balance.

Meinke will have little time to capitalize on that aggression, and she’ll need to take advantage of that early and hope to bank some rounds against the more skilled Serrano.
