T-Swizzle opens as favorite
Taylor Swift (+650) is the favorite to headline the Super Bowl 58 halftime show in Las Vegas. The 33-year-old songstress reportedly turned down the gig this year so she could focus on re-recording her first six studio albums. Assuming she can finish up her pet project, T-Swizzle should get another invite to the big game.
Swift is on friendly terms with Jay-Z, who is the live music entertainment strategist for the NFL, and most recently helped Rihanna with her performance. That’s more than Drake (+800) and Harry Styles (+800) can say. The Canadian rapper’s relationship with HOV has reportedly soured in recent years. And, the British musician just won the Album of the Year Grammy over Beyoncé to Jay-Z’s chagrin.

Bad Bunny’s a good bet
Along with Swift, Bad Bunny (+1000) was Spotify’s most-streamed artists in 2022. The Puerto Rican rapper was also the biggest touring act in the world last year. Just as importantly, he’s on friendly terms with Jay-Z.
In addition to being part of Roc Nation’s popular ‘The Made In America’ festival in 2022, Bad Bunny appeared on the same episode of LeBron James’ The Shop: Uninterrupted with Jay-Z.
Other contenders
Super Bowl 58 is in Las Vegas. Traditionally, a place where has-beens go for one final enormous payday. Perhaps, that’s why Justin Bieber (+900) and Britney Spears (+1200) are on the board.
Dua Lipa (+1000), Miley Cyrus (+1000) and Lizzo (+1200) are more relevant options in the year 2023. But, it’s unlikely they have the music catalogs required to headline the biggest stage in music.

Best Bet
What about Adele at +1500? Back in 2016, the English singer-songwriter said, “First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really — I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no.”
However, Adele did show up to watch Rihanna’s performance this year. She is also currently doing a Vegas residency, and is in a relationship with Jay-Z’s buddy and super-agent Rich Paul. Perhaps the two could get the music superstar to reconsider her stance on performing at the Super Bowl.
