Four players have reached the half-century mark so far, with an additional 18 performances of 40+ points. That’s already two more than last year and the second-most 40-point games in NBA history.

Jayson Tatum (+175) is on the brink of elimination with his Celtics trailing Miami 3-1 in the Eastern Conference Finals. But, while the 25-year-old may only have one more game to play, he could also have three additional opportunities to score 50+ if Boston can stage a comeback. Tatum is one of four players in the 2023 postseason to surpass the threshold already, dropping 51 in Game 7 of the conference semifinals to ouster Philadelphia.
Jimmy Butler (+200) is the top scorer (31.5 ppg) remaining in the postseason and has the highest-scoring game of the playoffs. The 33-year-old put up a playoff career-high 56 points in Game 4 of Miami’s first round series with Milwaukee. “Playoff Jimmy” has eight 40-point efforts in 56 career postseason contests.

What about the Joker?
Nikola Jokic (+250) racked up 53 points in Game 4 of the conference semifinals against the Suns. Scoring that many buckets is incredibly rare for centers not named Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 50 or more points 118 times during his 14-year career. A NBA record that still stands today.
The two-time MVP is averaging an ungodly 29.9 points, 13.3 rebounds and 10.3 assists this postseason. Another 50-point blowup is not out of the question in the NBA Finals.
Longshots to launch 50
Jamal Murray (+650) is averaging 25.4 points this postseason. The 26-year-old Canadian has scored over 30 points on seven occasions already with a playoff-high of 40 points. He’s averaging 27.7 points this postseason – the +7.7 point increase from the regular season is the highest among active players in the postseason.
Jaylen Brown (+1400) is in the midst of one of the roughest stretches of his career. He’s made just 37.5% of his field goals in the last three games versus Miami while failing to score more than 17 points. The 26-year-old has only put up 50 points once and has a playoff career-high of 40 points.

If anyone reaches 50+ points again in the playoffs, it will probably be Nikola Jokic (+250). The Serbian is enjoying one of the most dominant runs in NBA postseason history and his Nuggets should be heavily favored in the 2023 NBA Finals.
