Even worse for LSU, their offense and defense fired on all cylinders in that final 30 minutes. Alabama again was very good against Tennessee. Like Ole Miss, they beat the Volunteers by 14 points in a game where Alabama never truly felt threatened once they flexed their second-half muscle (27 unanswered points).

Again for LSU, this is their statement game. A third loss kills any hope of a good bowl game and an SEC Championship spot. That’s academic. Daniels and Kelly lead an offense that averages 47.4 points per game into a place where these offenses have had more success in recent years. If Daniels learned anything last year, it was the fact that the quarterback can beat Alabama. If Qunn Ewers can do it, Daniels can once again.
