What happened there?
Kansas City’s 16-game winning streak over the Broncos came to a surprising conclusion on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes turned the ball over three times in a 24-9 defeat, failing to get the ball into the end zone even once. Battling the flu bug, the two-time NFL MVP tossed two interceptions and was strip sacked. Travis Kelce was limited to six receptions for 58 yards and now faces a week of long-distance phone calls with new girlfriend Taylor Swift.
Coming off their ugliest offensive performance of the year, the Chiefs will now face one of the highest-scoring offenses in NFL history. Through the first eight weeks of the season, the Dolphins are averaging 34.3 points per week compared to KC’s mark of 25.4.

Ramsey’s return
Jalen Ramsey picked off Mac Jones in his season debut, helping the Dolphins to a 31-17 win over New England. Coming off a meniscus surgery that cost him the first seven weeks of the year, Ramsey looked spry in his return to action, returning Jones’ interception 49 yards in a pivotal second quarter play.
Tua Tagovailoa passed for 324 yards, 3 TDs, INT while both Tyreek Hill (8-112-1) and Jaylen Waddle (7-121-1) combined for 15 catches, 233 yards and two scores. The Cheetah’s 1,014 receiving yards is the most through a team’s first eight games in the Super Bowl era. Raheem Mostert also punched in his league-leading 9th touchdown of the season.
Kansas City vs Miami
Kansas City is a 2.5-point favorite in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday and the over-under is set at a robust 51.5 points. In addition to averaging the most points per game (34.3) in the NFL, Miami is topping the league in passing yards per game (300.0) and rushing yards per game (162.3). Whereas KC ranks second in passing (285.4) and 18th in rushing (111.3).
The Chiefs have the far better defense, however, limiting opponents to 15.0 points per week (2nd) versus the Dolphins’ 26.7. Steve Spagnuolo’s unit is also sixth in passing yards allowed (188.9).

Are the Dolphins elite?
Miami’s six wins come against some of the worst competition in the league – Patriots (x2), Broncos, Chargers, Giants and Panthers. However, they destroyed the Denver team the Chiefs just lost to 70-20 back in September.
Concerningly, the Dolphins have not fared well in big spots this season, suffering a 28-point defeat to Buffalo and 14-point loss to Philadelphia in week 7. That said, KC only has one quality win (Jacksonville) themselves, with victories over punching bags like the Broncos, Jets, Chargers, Vikings and Bears.
Best Bet
It’s hard to see how Andy Reid’s offense will keep up with Mike McDaniel’s explosive attack – yet, the Chiefs always seem to find a way. While they’re still searching for answers on offense, KC is easier to trust than a Dolphins team that keeps coming up small in big games.
