Dallas, who fell to 5-3 on the season with that loss, has run off four straight wins since that setback. The closest another team has come to defeating Dallas during that stretch was Thursday night when the Cowboys downed the Seahawks 41-35. Philadelphia Eagles betting breakdown
The Philadelphia Eagles‘ run of finding ways to win came to a resounding end on Sunday night when the San Francisco 49ers put a 42-19 beating on Philly in the Eagles’ home stadium. The Eagles opened the scoring in a well-played first quarter, but the club had little to offer for the remainder of the game.
The Eagles defense was not good in this game, allowing touchdowns on six straight 49ers possessions. One of the big problems for the Eagles in this game was the fact the secondary left San Francisco’s receivers with a lot of room to make catches and pick up yardage after those grabs. If the Eagles can sign and get three-time first-team All-Pro linebacker Shaquille Leonard on the roster for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys, that will help the team’s defense. Nakobe Dean and Zach Cunningham missed Sunday’s game on defense, and there is no update as of this writing if they will be available for the Dallas game. Philly’s pass defense is near the bottom of the league. That’s an enormous concern with Dak Prescott on the other side of the field.
Another thing to watch for the Eagles is the status of D’Andre Swift. He took a hard hit near the end of the 49ers game and left the field.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is in the midst of a spectacular stretch of play. Over the past seven weeks, Prescott has averaged more than 310 yards passing, thrown for 21 touchdowns, and has had just two interceptions. In his past three outings, Prescott has nine TDs and 0 INTs. On Thursday, during the team’s 41-35 downing of the Seattle Seahawks, the Cowboys scored on eight of 10 offensive possessions. Over the past several weeks, his play has put him in the mix to win the NFL MVP award for this year.
As good as Prescott and the Cowboys have been, there has to be some concern about their play against the NFC’s top teams, as two of the club’s three losses are to the Eagles and 49ers. Dallas has a lot riding on their Week 14 matchup against the Eagles. If they win, it will be a huge emotional boost for the team, but if they lose, the Cowboys will hear about how they are beating the teams they are supposed to beat but falling to the best of the best.
If Prescott and Mike McCarthy can keep clicking like they have been, they have a chance to beat the Eagles on Sunday.
