With 163 yards and a touchdown, Tyreek Hill became the first player in NFL history to have 150-plus receiving yards in four of a team’s first six games. With rookie De’Von Achane out with an injury, Raheem Mostert continued to run wild, piling up 132 total yards and three scores. Eagles wings get clipped
Philadelphia lost to the Jets for the first time in franchise history on Sunday, committing four turnovers in the surprising 20-14 upset defeat. Jalen Hurts tossed three interceptions, including a perplexing pick late in the fourth-quarter when he should’ve been running out the clock, and Devonta Smith had a ton of drops.
After looking like a shadow of the club that went all the way to the Super Bowl last season, the Eagles finally dropped their first game of the season. With a defense that ranks middle of the pack in points allowed (20.7) per game, can they rebound at home against Mike McDaniels’ explosive offense?
Philadelphia vs Miami
Philadelphia is a 2.5-point favorite at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night and the matchup has the highest over/under (52 points) of the entire week 7 slate. The Eagles defense is permitting the second-fewest rushing yards (65.8) per week, but they rank in the bottom half of the league in passing yards allowed (232.2).
Both cornerback Darius Slay and rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter didn’t suit up in the loss to New York. Their absence would make life considerably easier for Tyreek Hill and Raheem Mostert. All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson will also miss Sunday night’s game after suffering an ankle injury in week 6.

A familiar test for the Fins
Miami has been in this spot before. After destroying Denver 70-20 in week 3, they were smoked 48-20 by the Bills in Buffalo in week 4. Will the Fins come up small in another road game against a quality opponent or did they learn their lesson?
While Mike McDaniels’ offense has been stealing the headlines, Vic Fangio’s D is still very much a work in progress. The Dolphins rank in the bottom-half of the NFL in yards (343.7) and points (26.0) allowed per week.

This is a measuring stick game for both clubs. While it’s tempting to pick Philadelphia to rebound at home, their injuries are a concern. With a coaching advantage on both sides of the ball, we think the Dolphins steal one in the City of Brotherly Love.
