If there was a bright spot in the Chiefs’ loss to the Packers in Week 13, it was that the team managed to pick up 13 points in the second half of the game. Kansas City has struggled after halftime all season; the team averaged a league-low 5.3 points per game in the second half through the first 11 weeks of the 2023 season. The fact that the team has had back-to-back games of more than 13 points in the second half, the Chiefs scored 17 points after the half in Week 12 against the Raiders, is a positive.
Kansas City averages 252.7 yards per game in the air in 2023 and 109.9 yards on the ground. Expect the team’s offense to fare much better against the Patriots than it was against the Packers.

The Patriots had 257 total yards on Sunday. As of this writing, we do not know who will start under center against the Chiefs.
New England’s rushing defense kept them in the game against the Chargers in Week 13, limiting Los Angeles to 24 yards rushing. However, the passing defense gave up 212 yards in the air. If the defense doesn’t play better against the Chiefs, expect Patrick Mahomes to have one of his better games of the year.
The Patriots’ offense is near the bottom of the league, with an average of 290.4 yards per game. Meanwhile, the defense has fared fairly well, allowing an average of 310.5 yards per game. However, as stated above, the rushing defense is much better than the passing defense.
