Philly favored at home
San Francisco survived an off-kilter performance by Brock Purdy in a 30-23 victory over the Rams. The sophomore quarterback passed for only 206 yards on Sunday while overthrowing Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel on would-be touchdowns. Luckily, Christian McCaffrey was as dynamic as ever, rushing for 116 yards and a score. Run CMC has now found the endzone in 11 straight games.
Both Purdy and Samuel ran in touchdowns in the win and the 49ers defense intercepted Matthew Stafford twice. They’ve now picked off the veteran QB eight times in six meetings.

Christian McCaffrey has scored a touchdown in ELEVEN straight games.
He is automatic. What an amazing trade by the #49ers to get him in San Fran. pic.twitter.com/Aer9iYYjJZ

Danny Dimes heats up
Daniel Jones passed for 259 yards in the second half to lead the Giants to their largest comeback win in over 70 years. He finished with 321 passing yards, 2 TDs and an interception with 59 yards and a score on the ground in a 31-28 triumph over Arizona.
Before the second-half heroics, Big Blue had been outscored 60-0 to start the campaign – one of the worst beginnings of a season in NFL history. Saquon Barkley suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter and will almost assuredly miss Thursday’s game in the Bay Area.
San Francisco vs New York
San Francisco is a 10.5-point favorite at Levi’s Stadium, where they were 8-1 last season. Kyle Shanahan’s squad was 11-6 against the spread in 2022. Thursday’s contest will be the Niners’ home opener after the team secured road W’s against Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.
While the G-Men were 13-4 ATS in 2022, Wink Martindale’s defense will have to play a lot better in Week 3 to give the club a chance. New York allowed the lowly Cardinals to rack up 28 points on Sunday before buckling down in the fourth quarter.

Best Bet
Thursday night games often favor the home team. While 10.5-points is a lot, it’s difficult to see New York keeping up on the scoreboard without Saquon in the lineup.
We’ll take the 49ers to cover with the OVER 45.5 points.
