SF offense back in top gear

After passing for 296 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout victory over Jacksonville in week 10, Brock Purdy threw for 333 yards and three scores on Sunday. Most of the 49ers key weapons were involved in the 27-14 thrashing of Tampa Bay

Christian McCaffery started a new touchdown streak with 103 combined yards and a score. Brandon Aiyuk blew up for 156 yards and a TD and George Kittle exploded for 89 yards and a spike while Deebo Samuel made three grabs for 63 yards.

Seattle falls apart

Seattle blew a 16-7 lead on the division-rival Rams on Sunday to fall to 6-4. Geno Smith left the game with an elbow injury, opening the door for Drew Lock to toss an interception. Matthew Stafford took immediate advantage, leading back-to-back scoring drives to put LA ahead.

Smith returned with 1:31 remaining and no timeouts, leading his team partially down the field before Jason Myers missed a 55-yard field goal. With a nightmare slate of games ahead (49ers, Dallas, SF again, Philadelphia), the loss could cost the Seahawks a playoff spot.

Seattle vs San Francisco

San Francisco is favored by a touchdown on the road on Thanksgiving with the over/under set at 42.5 points. While Kyle Shanahan’s team is putting up the fourth-most points per week (27.9), they’re also limiting opponents to a league-best 15.7 points per game.

Pete Carroll’s club is middling on both offense and defense. Sophomore back Ken Walker will likely miss the game with an oblique injury while Geno Smith should be good-to-go after being crushed by Aaron Donald on Sunday.

Niners own Seahawks?

Pete Carroll held a 8-2 record against Kyle Shanahan heading into last year. However, the 49ers swept the 2022 season series with a 27-7 week 2 win and a 21-13 victory in week 15 before delivering a 41-23 knockout blow on their NFC West rivals in the Wild Card round.

Best Bet

It’s hard to see Carroll’s club keeping up on the scoreboard on Thursday. Rookie back Zach Charbonnet will be in tough against SF’s No. 3 ranked rushing defense. And Seattle’s passing offense has taken a noticeable step back in year 2 of the Geno era.

With all their weapons healthy and firing on all cylinders, the Niners (-7) are set up to smash the Seahawks on Thanksgiving night with the OVER 42.5 points.
