According to a report, Maryland officially posted $254 million for its sports betting handle. That’s an unreal number and there’s a good reason why people are so thrilled about that. A large chunk of the betting handle was provided by the mobile betting stats, as more than $243 million was posted via online wagers. This isn’t a major surprise at all, as online betting has long been a favorite for people in the state.
June was always expected to be a prime month for Maryland sports betting, as it’s the heart of the Major League Baseball season and people are also starting to shift their attention to the NFL betting odds. We’ll talk more about that below, but for MLB betting, it has been hot as ever for the state. This makes sense with the Washington Nationals holding so much young talent on its roster.

In another exciting turn of events, NFL betting is already off to a hot start for Maryland. Later this month, NFL training camps will be getting underway, which means the preseason will be here before you know it and then everyone’s attention will turn to Week 1. This is the time of the year when the anticipation for the new season could not be higher. People are counting down the days for the start of the regular season.
