- WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns (-200) is favored to defeat Drew McIntyre
- Sheamus (+350) is a massive underdog against Gunther in their Intercontinental title match
- Clash at the Castle takes place from Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday, Sept. 3
Clash of the Castle is the WWE’s first UK-based pay-per-view since SummerSlam way back in 1992. Saturday’s event from Cardiff, Wales features a nice main event between Scotsman Drew McIntyre and champion Roman Reigns, who has not been defeated in almost three years.
Who else is on the card? Before we make our picks for the night’s key matches, here’s where you can view the best 2022 WWE betting sites and the top betting sites for Entertainment in 2022.
Singles Match Winner
Rollins vs. Riddle
Professional wrestling always blurs the lines between what’s real and what’s fake. And a split-screen interview between Seth Rollins (-180) and Matt Riddle (+130) on this week’s WWE Raw certainly had fans debating. In the promo, Seth made mention of Riddle not having a family because his wife divorced him and took the kids, saying they “don’t want to see your b**** a** anymore.”
While this was probably a well-scripted exchange to sell a PPV, if not, things could get nasty across the Atlantic this Saturday. Will The Kingslayer or The Original Bro walk out of the UK victorious? We like the favorite Seth Rollins at -180.
Seth Rollins gotta be one of the coldest men walking the earth because this was some next level shit 😭 pic.twitter.com/vOVkO2lfxe

Tag Team Match Winner
The Judgement Day | -140 |
Edge & Rey Mysterio | +100 |
Will old timers be eradicated?
Former Tag Team Champions Edge and Rey Mysterio (+100) are looking for revenge against The Judgment Day (+100). Finn Bálor and Priest booted The Rated-R-Superstar from the group he created, before defeating Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik.
With Dominik apparently not happy with his father’s decision to roll with Edge over him, could a heel turn be in the making with the son at ringside? We believe so. Take The Judgement Day at even money.
Intercontinental Championship
Gunther | -600 |
Sheamus | +350 |
A return across the pond
Gunther (-600) is a resounding favorite to lay the smack down on four-time world champion Sheamus (+350), who earned the title shot with a Fatal 5-Way match win on SmackDown.
The WWE’s Intercontinental Champion held the NXT United Kingdom title for close to three years so oddsmakers are betting on the Austrian to continue his dominance across the pond. The Ring General’s short odds aren’t worth wagering on, but Sheamus has little chance of hoisting the belt either.
"I'm here to remind you that this title has a legacy."

Undisputed Universal Champion
Roman Reigns | -200 |
Drew McIntyre | +150 |
Roman Reigns vs Drew Mcintyre
Roman Reigns (-200) has held the Universal Championship for more than two years, but the Clash At The Castle sure seems like the place he might lose it.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Drew McIntyre (+150) missed out on hearing the roar of the crowd after defeating Brock Lesnar at the Wrestlemania. However, the Scotsman could ascend to new levels of stardom in Cardiff, Wales. Back in the UK for a PPV for the first time in 30 years, expect the WWE to put the belt on a new champion on Saturday night. We like McIntyre at +150.
