India and England meet in the 4th Test of their five-match series in Ranchi on Friday. The hosts are 2-1 up with two to play and know a win here clinches the series. After being in a good position at the end of Day 2 of the 3rd Test, England somehow contrived to lose the match by a mammoth 434 runs.

What went wrong, no one knows. The visitors were coasting at 207/2 at the end of the second day’s play. They then spectacularly collapsed on Day 3, getting bowled out for just 319, leaving them with a first-innings deficit of 126 runs when they should have had a lead.
From that point, England were not at the races and took an almighty hammering. It was a match to forget for Ben Stokes and his team.
India vs. England: Test Series Betting

Can England bounce back from 3rd Test humiliation?
The fact that England was so competitive for the first two days of the 3rd Test means they can’t be totally discounted in the 4th Test. This team has shown a lot of backbone over the past couple of years and made the capitulation in Rajkot all the more surprising.
Anybody could have predicted England would likely lose the Test. But not even the most ardent Indian fan would have expected to see England collapse in a heap as they did.

With the possibility of clinching the series this week, there was a thought that the hosts might risk their influential bowler and gamble on wrapping up the series in Ranchi. That way, they could have rested him for the 5th Test.
Leaving Bumrah out is a risk. But the bigger question is, can England fight back after such a humiliating loss in the 3rd Test match?
India vs. England: Our Picks
First up, on the props bets, we have looked at the total centuries betting market. Over 2.5 is +100 and under is -130. The pitch at Ranchi is set to be spin-friendly. This plays to India’s strengths and suggests they are going for the kill.
In the last Test match at this venue in 2019, South Africa were bowled out for 162 and 133. India amassed 497/9. They only needed to bat once.
Opposition team batters struggle to score runs here. And we are struggling to see an England batter scoring a century. But, they will want to show some fight after the last match, and someone may dig in and make a century.
Failing that, will India’s batters score three or more? Going back to the last match, only two Indians managed to get themselves in and make scores. Rohit Sharma got 212 and Ajinkya Rahane 115. The rest struggled to bat on the surface. But that was only batting once.
Given that England will attack, India may need to bat twice in this match. They do have an inexperienced batting lineup. But we can see the Indians cashing in on a demoralized England bowling attack.
